Soul / Senses / Spirit

Every year I create a Vision Board. This is the key I use to motivate me throughout the year to make accomplishments towards my goals. The board consist of things I believe will bring my life joy. I make goals for my soul, senses and spirit. I also create an action step form to coincide with the vision board. I try to make the board and my goals specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and timely.

It is difficult sometimes to accomplish all my goals by the end of the year because some of the goals consist of things not totally in my control. Therefore, I may need to redeveloped the goal and may have to extend the goal to the following year.

The bible talks about writing a vision and making it plain.(Habakkuk 2:2) That’s why it is important to write it out. It continues in Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it, because it will surely come.

As a visual person this tool is great for me. Many successful Fortune 500 individuals use this tool as well. It does not matter when you decide to create a vision board. I strongly believe it is a valuable tool and require my public school students to create one as a class project. Many students have shared how it has helped them to complete goals.

I will be posting a “how to” video soon sharing how you can create your own Vision Board.
